A ROUND BOAT?
It all begins with an idea.
Just what if we had something other than a kayak? Standing in Kayak magnet fishing has proved to be tricky, both maneuvering and limited on space.
The “wheels” were turning, and one google search later… THIS IS IT! The Roundabout Watercraft!
What is it.. you guess it. A ROUND boat, powered by electric trolling motor. These things you cant tip…seriously, and the storage is amazing.
If only you could see my husbands expression when I pull up with this new toy. My teenage boys laughed hysterically.
I really thought they would be more excited, once I told them they could duck hunt and fish too as they are avid hunters. NOPE…
I grew up sailing and skiing, honest, I have NEVER used a trolling motor before. Neither had Wendy.
Determined to do this 100% on our own with NO HELP… we set out for the maiden voyage on Jordan Lake in Chatham County, NC.
We chose a boat ramp that we didnt think was frequented alot to save ourselves from any ooops that could arise.
It was so WINDY, and the water was choppy… we said who cares, we got this.
Get boat in water, racing to put items in and on boat before other boaters needed the ramp…Wendy stays with boat, I park truck.
Wouldn’t you know it…then 2 vehicles come with boats, the weird looks began.
I hop on the Roundaboat, (Wendy had placed the motor on) , without thinking, I am ready to go full throttle to get away from ramp and any humiliation.
In the usual Kimberly and Wendy way, never a dull moment, we laughed so hard we cried.
We did get the hang of it though, and I have to tell you I am IMPRESSED . Able now to go to shorelines and under bridges, we knew we made the right choice!
Of course we have to share our silliest moments, and this one may get the blue ribbon.
Side Note…husband or teens havnt’t used boat yet, BUT their friends think its pretty darn cool.
I think I will get it wrapped in pink with out logo and 2 chicks and a magnet? Thoughts?
